Very friendly and helpfull staff. Nice, comforatble and clean rooms. Great location: on the main street plus...near 2 excellent restaurants: Erivan (Fontanka emb 51) and Tarkhun (turn left form hotel door and walk 100 m, it's on the right hand side of the park)

Delightful 'pension' ambience, in a most favourable location, in a quiet street just off the Nevsky Prospect. Particularly convenient for Russian Museum, Philharmonic Hall, Brodsky House.Charming attentive staff always ready with a cup of tea or coffee and chocolates on the house when you come in during the day.
Nothing not to like. It's a little hard to find beacuse it is basically just a flat in an apartment building, and the address on Nevsky Prospect is misleading, but this inconspicuous location is in fact a benefit.

The hotel staff was exceedingly friendly and helpful. The location was also superb.
I think its overpriced but worth it nevertheless.

The breakfasts were excellent; fresh orange juice and freshly made coffee, Activia yoghurts, cheese and cold meats, honey/jam and rye bread. All served, not left lying about on a buffet table, and we didn't even bother with the cooked breakfast offered. The two young women running the place had good English and were very helpful. We stayed in the apartment which had 4 large rooms; 2 bedrooms, a kitchen/diner and a lounge. The location is great; just behing the main shopping street, not far from the main tourist attractions and there was an excellent Georgian restaurant very close by; 3 courses for 3 people for £100 (St Petersburg isn't cheap).
The bathroom was corridor shaped so it was difficult washing your hair in the basin. The curtains were cream coloured and had no black-out lining so the rooms were light at midnight (we stayed there in early June). The staff were unable to print off our visa registrations as their software could not cope with it. However, the visas had been registered on the official system and we had no problems at passport control on leaving.

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We stayed in the apartment which is perfect for families- lots of space with two big bedrooms and masses of communal space. The location is very convenient walking distance from Hermitage. The breakfasts were fantastic. Thoroughly recommend this hotel.
Really the kitchen in the apartment was not fully equipped if you really wanted to cook. There was no tin opener which meant we had a somewhat basic meal one night.I'm sure they will put one in though! The entrance is really difficult to find- the notice is almost hidden on the entry panel - I'm glad we arrived early morning and not late at night.
